IRISH-BRED Show Court earned his first American win upsetting the Carolina Cup, a novice stakes worth $75,000 at the Carolina Cup races last Saturday. Owned by Mark Buyck Jr. and trained by Arch Kingsley Jr., the eight-year-old son of Vinnie Roe won one hurdle race at Limerick for Dermot Weld before joining Kingsley’s barn last winter.

Bred by Grange Stud, Show Court stalked in second before cruising to a seven-length win over Castle Hill. Michael Mitchell guided the winner, his first American win since arriving from New Zealand.
