THE Connemara/thoroughbred cross mare Loughries Look Now, winner of the EI90 Amateur class at Kilguilkey House on Sunday under owner Maria Persson-O’Connor, doesn’t appear to have had a very busy season if one only takes into account her appearances at Eventing Ireland fixtures.

However, the owner also competes with the dun in riding club activities, as a member of Warrington, while her daughter Annica, who finished seventh on the eight-year-old in an open EI90 class at Grove (1), competes with Loughries Look Now as a member of the Tipperary Branch of the Irish Pony Club. They also took part in working hunter competitions. Luckily for the mare, Annica’s brother Josef, who used to ride, now prefers to play rugby!
