RACING enthusiasts from all over Ireland are expected to descend on Gowran Park Racecourse on Thursday, January 23rd. That is the date for one of the flagship meetings of the Irish racing calendar, the Goffs Thyestes Chase day, and it is widely recognised as one of the best days in Irish racing.

The feature race on the day is due to go to post at 3pm. Entries have closed for what’s become known as the race that stops a county and a total of 46 horses have been nominated. The full list will be made public on Monday.
