AINIPPE, who won a listed race over five furlongs at the Curragh last year, took her record to three wins from seven starts when beating Newsletter by half a length in the Group 3 TRM Ballyogan Stakes over six furlongs at the same venue on Sunday, achieving something that her grandmother tried and failed to do.

The Ger Lyons-trained three-year-old, who was bred by John Kennedy, is a daughter of the former Ballyhane Stud stallion Captain Rio (by Pivotal) whose string of stakes winning progeny includes the Group 1 winning Australian sprinter Terravista, the Group 1 Crown Oaks heroine Brazilian Pulse and the New Zealand juvenile Group 1 scorer Il Quello Veloce.
