ONE stallion well worth considering by breeders is My O My, a Holsteiner son of Loutano out of the Silvester-sired dam Bilda, standing at Ballyneety Stud Farm in Co Limerick.

He is a half-brother to international show jumper Catoki, the sire of Keoki who jumped double clear in February’s 1.60m Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup competition with David Simpson. Other half-brothers jumping at 1.60m level include Calvano and Casco Z.

My O My has proven his versatility as a stallion and has an impressive strike rate of 11 international FEI performers from a small band of mares.

EVENTING STARS

In the sport of eventing, some of his top performers include Alison Holden’s nine-year-old O My Balladeer (ISH) who has competed at international three-star level and Nessa Briody’s three-star Irish Sport Horse gelding Tom Boy (HPA) with whom she finished eighth at the 2017 FEI European Eventing Championships for Young Riders and Juniors.

Other notable progeny jumping at 1.30m level and above include the 12-year-old Grade A jumping mare Ballymountain Cash Crisis, ridden by Alexandra McGeoghan-Santry, while in showing circles, he has produced a winner at Royal Windsor Horse Show in Love Actually. British-based show producer Danielle Heath fell in love with the mare’s walk and presence when she saw her at Goresbridge Sales, saying “had to have her in my yard”.

My O My produces offspring that share his unique looks as well as his talent.
