A €95,000 son of Elzaam headed the second and concluding session of Part 1 of the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale, which ended last night with a set of figures that were able to advance on those from 2015.

For the first time in 10 years, the sale’s turnover passed the €10 million mark and the larger catalogue enabled the turnover to grow by three percent. A median of €19,000 represented a six percent improvement on 2015, while the average of €24,963 progressed by four points.
