How to Enter?

You can enter this competition by purchasing any copy of The Irish Field newspaper (print edition) over a 4-week period from Saturday 25 May 2019 to Saturday, 22 June 2019.

Entrants need to both complete and send their entry form (s) to the promoter by Thursday, 27th June 2019 (details below).

Multiple entries are accepted, provided they are original newsprint entry forms printed in The Irish Field newspaper.

ePaper subscribers whose unbroken membership covers the competition period (May 25th to June 22nd) will have their names automatically entered for the prize draw.

Terms and Conditions

1. The competition is being promoted by The Agricultural Trust (trading as The Irish Field). The Agricultural Trust (“the Company”) is a company limited by guarantee, having its registered office is at The Irish Farm Centre, Bluebell, Dublin 12, Ireland.

2. The “Competition Partners” are the following:

a. Dubarry of Ireland.

b. Hannon Travel.

c. Intercontinental Hotel.

d. Kildare Village.

e. Tote Ireland.

f. TRM Supplements

3. Each partner has provided a prize to the value of €1,000. These prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.

4. One person – one prize. In the case of multiple entries by the same person, the entrant will only be eligible to win one prize – the first prize drawn in their name. The winner of the Tote prize must be over 18 to claim the prize. If the winner of the Tote prize is under 18 they must nominate a person over 18 to claim the prize.

5. Employees of The Agricultural Trust and their family members shall not be permitted to enter the competition.

6. Employees of the above named competition partners and their family members shall not be permitted to enter the competition.

7. Newsagents and their employees shall not be permitted to enter the competition.

8. Entry into the competition is by way of a competition application form. Valid competition forms are original newsprint entry forms printed in The Irish Field from any of the four weeks dated between Saturday May 25th and Saturday June 22nd 2019.

12. Photocopied, re-produced or printed entry forms are not valid entries.

13. Entrants must post or hand deliver a completed entry form to: Reader Competition, The Irish Field, Irish Farm Centre, Naas Rd, Bluebell, Dublin 12 to arrive no later than 5.30pm on Thursday June 27th. Entries received outside this time period will not be considered.

14. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received, for whatever reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by The Agricultural Trust.

15. This offer is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

16. The Agricultural Trust reserves the right to request proof of identity, verifiable by birth cert or passport only, and proof of address, verifiable by recent utility bill only (issued within six months prior to the competition win).

17. Multiple entries submitted by the same person are acceptable - provided they use separate entry forms from the original print edition.

18. The Agricultural Trust reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or any of the terms and conditions of the competition without notice, and for any reason whatsoever. Any such amendments to the competition or to the terms and conditions will be published on www.theirishfield.ie

19. The Agricultural Trust’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

20. By entering the competition (by way of the Competition Application Form), an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of the competition.

21. The competition and the terms and conditions will be governed by Irish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

Selection of the Winners

1. An independent adjudicator will be nominated by the Company to oversee the selection of the winners. Their decision shall be final.

2. The draw will take place on Monday, 1 July 2019.

3. The winners will be notified as soon as possible after Thursday, 27th June 2019. He / She shall be contacted only via the phone number supplied in the competition entry form.

6. The winner must be in a position to confirm their identity and eligibility. Failure to do so will disqualify them from the competition.

7. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

8. The prizes are not transferable to a third party, except in the case of the Tote prize, as outlined above. Prizes are subject to availability and the Competition Partners reserve the right to substitute any prize with a different prize of a similar value, at their sole discretion.

9. Each prize is subject to the Competition Partner’s own terms and conditions.

10. All prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash or other prizes.

11. A condition of winning the competition, is that the winner will agree to take part in any post-competition publicity, without payment. The company shall, in its sole discretion, direct such post-competition publicity. The winner must likewise agree to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material.

Data Protection

1. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

2. Information and data which is provided by entrants when they enter (“personal data”) will be held and used by the Company in order to administer the competition until July 31st 2019.

3. The Company will not engage in further direct marketing after this date without expressed permission.

4. The Company will not share personnel information with third parties.
