The RDS and Leinster Rugby yesterday launched an international architectural design competition as the first step in the redevelopment. The competition asks architects to design a multi-purpose world class arena that will increase the stadium capacity from 18,500 to 25,000.

Competing architects have been asked to create a ‘signature venue’ that will enhance the current facilities for the benefit of Leinster Rugby home games, the RDS Dublin Horse Show and all other events and concerts.
