Vision Des Flos gave Robert Tyner back-to-back victories in the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at the Punchestown Festival on Tuesday.

The market was dominated by Early Doors and Rapid Escape, ridden by amateur title rivals Patrick Mullins and Jamie Codd respectively, and Early Doors loomed up early in the straight.

He couldn't match the finishing kick of Vision Des Flos and the Willie Mullins-trained Hollowgraphic, though, with Tyner's 12/1 chance just prevailing by a neck in a thrilling finish.

Early Doors was third, with Rapid Escape only fifth.

Tyner won this race with the ill-fated Coeur De Lion 12 months ago, and amazingly both horses were bought at the Land Rover Sale from Normal Williamson's Oak Tree Farm. The trainer said: "It's a nice pot. It's hard to do it but we got there anyway.

"It meant more this year probably than last year because we were unlucky enough to lose last year's winner. So it was very special to come back and win it again. He had an accident out in the field and was a very nice horse.

"We actually bought him off the same vendor, Norman Williamson, as last year. We'll never get three out of them so we better look for a horse for next year!

"He always worked nice, travelled well in his work, and stayed. He'll probably be better off over two and a half, although it didn't look like that today.

"He just travelled so well and fair play to Philip Enright, he said he always rode like a bumper horse the way he travels.

"We were hoping to get a run into him and even had him entered in a point-to-point, he jumps well, but the horses were kind of out of sorts the time Midnight Stroll went to Newbury.

"I ran four or five in Cork and each one ran worse than the other. Only for I was on the boat to Newbury I probably would have turned home.

"He would have had a run around that time only for that. We just had to back off for a couple of weeks with him.

"He jumps well and he's by a very good sire [Balko]."

ELLIOTT WINNER

Trainer Gordon Elliott finally got on the scoresheet when 25/1 newcomer Roaring Bull won the closing four-year-old bumper under Lisa O'Neill in the Gigginstown House Stud colours.

O'Neill won the four-mile National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival for the same connections on Tiger Roll and the Kerry National aboard Wrath Of Titans.
