CHESTER Vase scorer US Army Ranger heads Aidan O'Brien's team for Saturday's Investec Derby at the five-day confirmation stage.

O'Brien, whose sequence of three consecutive Derby triumphs was ended last year, has seven left in the race, with US Army Ranger backed up by Vase runner-up Port Douglas, Dante second Deauville, Idaho, Shogun, Beacon Rock and Bravery.
