WHILE jump racing is very much centre stage again, there has been some notably good all-weather racing going on at the same time, with the third All-Weather Championships launching at the end of October. So far, none of the Fast Track Qualifiers (the winning of which gives an automatic berth on Finals Day at Lingfield on 25 March 2016) has been run at a true enough pace to result in a really good overall time.

The best three timefigures in that period have come from Mindurownbusiness (110 at Lingfield and 109 at Chelmsford) and Bancnuanaheireann (109 at Chelmsford). Tryster has been the best performer on show on the all-weather recently, but most of the time he has managed to see off his rivals with late pace rather than with good overall times, a 116 timefigure at Lingfield in March being an exception. There are some rich pickings to be had as well as some quality racing on show with the AW Championships, and Dundalk joins in with four FTQs in the new year.
