DERVILLE Meade was on hand at Naas on Sunday to see her Red Jack win what is likely to prove to be one of the most informative bumpers of the season. All of the big guns were represented and many of the participants will be heard of again and again.

The winner is trained by Derville’s husband Noel who paid €23,000 to acquire the now four-year-old son of Mahler at last year’s Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale. The vendor was John Quinlan’s Moyneard Stables and he had given €12,500 for Red Jack when he was sold at the same venue from Ballinamurragh Stables in November 2013.
