Bayrir (by Medicean) has won the Grade 1 Secretariat Stakes over 10f at Arlington Park, his third blacktype success in just five starts. H H the Aga Khan's homebred three-year-old is trained, in France, by Alain de Royer-Dupre.
He is the second foal out of Balankiya (by Darshaan), who is a winning half-sister to the pattern scorers Balakheri (by Theatrical) and Baliyana (by Dalakhani), and he comes from the family of the Group 1 star and successful sire Bering.
Medicean (by Machiavellian) stands at Cheveley Park Stud.
