Opera Gal (by Galileo) has won the Listed EBF Upavon Fillies Stakes over 10f at Salisbury, her second blacktype success.
Jeff Smith's homebred five-year-old, who also won a listed contest at Windsor last year, is trained by Andrew Balding. She is out of Opera Glass (by Barathea), and so she is inbred 2x3 to Sadler's Wells (by Northern Dancer). Her dam is a half-sister to the smart sprinter Night Star (by Night Shift), and to the high-class stayer Grey Shot (by Sharrood), and she is a full-sister to the Group 1 placed pattern scorer Opera Cape.
Galileo (by Sadler's Wells) stands at Coolmore Stud.
