Salomina (by Lomitas) has won the Group 1 Henkel-Preis der Diana - Deutsches-Stuten-Derby over 11f at Dusseldorf, taking Germany's equivalent of the Oaks by three and a half lengths.
Gestut Bona's homebred three-year-old is trained by Peter Schiergen, who also trained her dam Saldentigerin (by Tiger Hill) to take third in the Group 1 Preis der Diana and fourth in the Group 1 Deutsches Derby in 2004. Salomina is the second foal of her dam, and she is a full-sister to the stakes placed Salut.
Lomitas (by Niniski), sire of the Arc and King George heroine Danedream, was standing at Gestut Fahrhof at the time of his death, at the age of 22, in 2010.
