The great Frankel (by Galileo) has extended his unbeaten run to 12 with a repeat victory in the Group 1 Qipco Sussex Stakes (British Champions Series) over 1m at Goodwood, making his the first horse to win back-to-back editions of that famous race.
The Juddmonte Farms homebred is the second foal out of the stakes winning sprinter Kind (by Danehill), he is a full-brother to yesterday's Group 3 Gordon Stakes winner Noble MIssion, and a half-brother to the pattern winner Bullet Train (by Sadler's Wells) who acts as his pacemaker. His grandam Rainbow Lake (by Rainbow Quest) won the Lancashire Oaks and she is also the dam of the Group 1 scorer Powerscourt (by Sadler's Wells).
Galileo (by Sadler's Wells) stands at Coolmore Stud.
