Montiridge (by Ramonti) has made a winning debut over 7f at Newbury. The Richard Hannon trained juvenile was bred by Century Bloodstock, and he is the third recent winner from the first crop of the Group 1 star Ramonti (by Martino Alonso).
The colt is out of Elegant Ridge (by Indian Ridge), who was runner-up in the Group 2 Henkel Rennen (German 1000 Guineas) and whose siblings include the multiple stakes winning sprinter Rolo Tomasi (by Mujtahid).
Ramonti stood his first season at Kildangan Stud and then moved to Allevamento di Besnate in Italy.
