Fiorente (by Monsun) has won the Group 2 Princess of Wales's Goldsmiths Stakes over 12f at Newmarket. The four-year-old is trained by Sir Michael Stoute, he is a Ballymacoll Stud homebred, and he comes from one of their most famous families.
He is the fourth foal out of Desert Bloom (by Pilsudski), and he is a half-brother to a couple of winners. His dam is a half-sister to a pair of blacktype earners but is out of Desert Beauty (by Green Desert), a stakes placed half-sister to the Group 1 stars Islington (by Sadler's Wells), Greek Dance (by Sadler's Wells) and Mountain High (by Danehill). The third dam is, of course, the classic placed Group 1 star Hellenic (by Darshaan).
Monsun (by Konigsstuhl) stands at Gestut Schlenderhan.
