Lockwood (by Invincible Spirit) has won the Group 3 Prix de Ris-Orangis over 6f at Maisons-Laffitte, repeating the feat of one of his relatives who won the same contest 12 months ago.
The Darley bred three-year-old is trained by Andre Fabre. He is the first foal out of the Group 3 Prix des Reservoirs scorer Emily Bronte (by Machiavellian). The mare is a half-sister to the stakes winning sprinter Zelanda (by Night Shift), who is the dam of last year's Group 3 Prix de Ris-Orangis scorer Time Prisoner (by Elusive Quality). Lockwood's grandam Zafadola (by Darshaan), was a middle-distance stakes winner and finished third in the Group 1 Irish St Leger. This is the Petite Etoile family.
Invincible Spirit (by Green Desert) stands at the Irish National Stud.
