Novellist (by Monsun) has extended his unbeaten run to three with a 5L score in the Group 2 Oppenheim-Union-Rennen over 11f at Cologne. He has won his first three stars by an aggregate of 19 lengths, including a 10f Group 3 contest at Frankfurt last month.
Dr Christoph Berglar's homebred three-year-old is the fourth foal out of the juvenile mile Group 3 scorer Night Lagoon (by Lagunas) whose siblings include the Listed winner and Group 1 Deutsches Derby runner-up Night Tango (by Acatenango).
