St Nicholas Abbey (by Montjeu) has easily won his second consecutive Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Coronation Cup over 12f at Epsom, his fourth win at the highest level.
The Aidan O'Brien trained five-year-old was bred by Barton Bloodstock and Villiers Syndicate and he is out of Leaping Water (by Sure Blade). That makes him a half-brother to the US Grade 2 scorer Grammarian (by Definite Article) while his dam is a half-sister to the Group 1 winners Aristotle (by Sadler's Wells), Ballingarry (by Sadler's Wells) and Starborough (by Soviet Star).
Montjeu (by Sadler's Wells) stood at Coolmore Stud until his death earlier this year.
