Jet Away a new stakes winner for Cape Cross

Article Date: 26-May-2012

Jet Away (by Cape Cross) has won the Listed 32Red Festival Stakes over 10f at Goodwood, his sixth win overall but first success in blacktype company.

The Juddmonte Farms homebred is trained by Sir Henry Cecil and the five-year-old is the first foal out of Kalima (by Kahyasi), an unraced full-sister to the stakes winner Arrive who is, in turn, the dam of the Group 1 scorer Promising Lead (by Danehill). Kalima is also a full-sister to the listed scorer and astoundingly successful broodmare Hasili, dam of the Group/Grade 1 winners Banks Hill (by Danehill), Cacique (by Danehill), Champs Elysees (by Danehill), Heat Haze (by Green Desert) and Intercontinental (by Danehill) as well as the Group 2 scorer and top sire Dansili (by Danehill).

Cape Cross (by Green Desert) stands at Kildangan Stud.
