Famous first crop winner for Astronomer Royal

Sir Patrick Moore, a first crop son of the classic winning miler Astronomer Royal (by Danzig), has made a winning debut over 6f at Newbury.

The juvenile was bred by S F Bloodstock LLC, he is trained by Harry Dunlop and he cost just €16,000 in Deauville as a yearling. The grey is the first foal out of America Nova (by Verglas) who was a listed scorer in France as a juvenile. The South African Group 1 scorer Devon Air appears under the fourth generation of the family.

Astronomer Royal stands at Haras De La Reboursiere Et De Montaigu in France.
