RAFIKI, the former mount of Co Meath show jumping rider Gerard Clarke, unexpectedly died last week at the Clarke’s home.

Owned by Pat and Clare Sutton, the 13-year-old gelding was by Simba and out of Ariana, an Animo Elite mare. Campaigned by Clarke for the last four years, the combination had lodged a series of impressive results at national and on the European circuit.
