  • Toormore easily won the Group 2 International Topkapi Trophy over a mile at Veliefendi, a fifth pattern success for the Group 1-winning son of Ballyhane Stud stallion Arakan (by Nureyev). The win pushes his career earnings past the £1 million mark. Bred by BEC Bloodstock, the Richard Hannon-trained four-year-old is a half-brother to the dual Group 2 scorer Estidkhaar (by Dark Angel) and his dam Danetime Out (by Danetime) is an unraced half-sister to the Group 3-placed miler Easaar (by Machiavellian).

  • Connecticut won the Group 2 Interntaional Bosphorus Cup over 12 furlongs at Veliefendi, in Turkey, a first pattern success and second blacktype win for the Luca Cumani-trained four-year-old. Bred by Whatton Manor Stud, the colt is a son of Dalham Hall Stud stallion New Approach (by Galileo) whose multiple blacktype-winning son Tha'ir was a listed scorer (local Group 3) at the same venue on Saturday.

    Connecticut is out of Craigmill (by Slip Anchor), a half-sister to the Group 3 Park Hill Stakes heroine Coigach (by Niniski) and also to Applecross (by Glint Of Gold), the Group 2-placed dam of Group 1 star Invermark (by Machiavellian) and his pattern-winning half-brothers Craigsteel (by Suave Dancer) and Inchrory (by Midyan).

  • Twilight Son narrowly won the Group 1 Betfred Sprint Cup (British Champions Series) over six furlongs at Haydock, a first blacktype success for the unbeaten son of Kyllachy (by Pivotal). The Henry Candy-trained three-year-old was bred by Godfrey Wilson, and Wilson owns him in partnership with Cheveley Park Stud, which is where his sire stands. He is a half-brother to the Group 1-placed, pattern winning sprinter Music Master (by Piccolo) and his dam Twilight Mistress (by Bin Ajwaad) comes from a branch of the family of pattern winning sprinters such as On Tiptoes (by Shareef Dancer) and Violette (by Observatory).
