Mutakayyef could be supplemented for the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on September 10.

The five-year-old gelding has looked the real deal this season, winning good races at York and at Ascot, and is now under consideration for the big Group One over a mile and a quarter.

Mutakayyef showed he could mix it with the best of them at York last Wednesday when he finished an unlucky-in-running third in the Juddmonte International, beaten just over two lengths by Postponed.

Trainer William Haggas said: "He is absolutely fine and ran a great race at York last week.

"We're looking at various options, but there's a chance he could be supplemented for the Irish Champion."

Connections of the Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum-owned son of Sea The Stars would need to pay 75,000 euros to confirm his place in the Irish Champion Stakes line-up.
