VICTORY for Inns Of Court in the Group 3 Prix du Palais-Royal at Maisons-Laffitte at the weekend brought up two notable milestones in the career of his sire Invincible Spirit, according to the Weatherbys app Global Stallions. It was his 100th black-type winner and 50th graded/group winner and a cause for double celebrations at the Irish National Stud.

Born in 1997, Invincible Spirit is a son of Green Desert (Danzig) and out of the Group 1 Prix de Diane (French Oaks) winner Rafha, herself a daughter of Kris. Raced for four seasons, Invincible Spirit won the Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock as a five-year-old and this earned him his place at stud, initially commanding a fee of €10,000. That figure had risen to €120,000 this season.
