WHILE it is always a wrench to the system to come to the end of the point-to-point season it is also a pleasure to look back and weigh up the positives and negatives of another year.

Although hunt racing in Ireland ended on the June bank holiday at Ballingarry and with the final hunter chase at Listowel, there is also a last hurrah for the hunter chasers at Stratford-On-Avon which this year has taken back its traditional end of season date in June.
