THE owners of a small child’s missing pony are appealing for any information that may help to recover it. Star is a nine-year-old 12.2hh dark bay (almost black) mare with a white star on her forehead. She is microchipped and has been missing or stolen since Wednesday, October 15th from a field in Tullyard, Trim, Co Meath. Owner Jessica O’Connor said the mare disappeared from a field where she had been grazing with four other horses.

“She was very much a herd pony and would not wander off by herself usually,” said Jessica. “She was ridden on Wednesday afternoon and put back in the field around 5.30pm. She was the only pony in the field not wearing a rug at the time because she had just torn her own rug and I had not replaced it yet. We have searched all the fields around us but there is no sign of her. Even if she got out of the field she was in, it is land-locked so she would have been trapped in the next field. If you see or know of anyone who found a pony, please call us, she is very much missed,” she said.
