  • Whitsbury Manor Stud shuttle sire Foxwedge (by Fastnet Rock), who got a first stakes winner from the southern hemisphere half of his global first crop yesterday, added to his European tally when Fox Dream dead-heated in the seven furlong maiden at Listowel. The Augustine Leahy-trained filly was bred by The Pocock Family, she is out of Effie (by Royal Academy) and her siblings include the prolific winner Easy Terms (by Trade Fair). Her dam is an unraced half-sister to the Group 1 Irish St Leger winner and Beeches Stud stallion Sans Frontieres (by Galileo).

  • Born To Sea (by Invincible Spirit), the classic-placed half-brother to Galileo (by Sadler's Wells) and Sea The Stars (by Cape Cross), got off the mark when his son Seatown won at Klampenborg in Denmark. The Soren Jensen-trained grey is out of Silvertown (by Academy Award), who is a full-sister to 2014 Danish 2000 Guineas heroine Harbour Light and to the 2015 Dansk Kriterium winner Beaufort Twelve. Born To Sea began his career at Rathasker Stud and he is now in his second season at Gilltown Stud.

  • Banstead Manor Stud's superstar Frankel made it two winners from three runners when the Richard Fahey-trained filly Queen Kindly was impressive in the maiden over five furlongs at Catterick. The chesnut, bred by Rabbah Bloodstock Ltd, is out of the high-class sprinter Lady Of The Desert (by Rahy) and her grandam is Queen's Logic (by Grand Lodge), the Group 1-winning half-sister to Group 1 classic stars Dylan Thomas (by Danehill) and Homecoming Queen (by Holy Roman Emperor).

  • Legendary Lunch held on to win the Listed Investec Woodcote Stakes over six furlongs at Epsom, giving the Irish National Stud's freshman sire Dragon Pulse (by Kyllachy) his first stakes winner. The Richard Hannon-trained juvenile was bred by Johnston King, he is out of Taalluf (by Hansel), he is a half-brother to the stakes-placed Middleham (by Best Of The Bests) and also to the nine-times scorer Talent Scout (by Exceed And Excel).

  • Thunder Snow caught the eye when making a winning debut over six furlongs at Leicester giving Dalham Hall Stud's shuttle sire Helmet (by Exceed And Excel) his latest winner. The Darley-bred colt is trained by Saeed bin Suroor, he is the fourth foal out of Eastern Joy (by Dubai Destination), and he is a half-brother to classic-placed Group 2 winner Ihtimal (by Shamardal), to Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes scorer First Victory (by Teofilo) and to mile stakes winner Always Smile (by Cape Cross). His dam is a half-sister to the Group 1 Prix de Diane winner West Wind (by Machiavellian) and comes from the immediate family of the Group 1 Irish Derby heroine Balanchine (by Storm Bird).

  • Ashford Stud stallion Stay Thirsty (by Bernardini) got off the mark when Cheval Blanche made a winning debut over six furlongs at Redcar. The Michael Bell-trained filly was bred by Klawervlei Stud, she is out of Primrose Hill (by Giant's Causeway) and she is a half-sister to Hug And A Kiss (by Thewayyouare) who was placed in both the Group 3 Prix Cleopatre and Group 3 Prix Penelope in 2014. Her grandam is the Grade 1 Matron Stakes heroine Marylebone (by Unbridled's Song). Classic-placed dual Grade 1 winner Stay Thirsty has had a couple of runners in the USA, including the stakes-placed maiden Thirstforlife.

  • Pleaseletmewin made it second time lucky when narrowly winning the six-furlong novice race at Wolverhampton. The Ralph Beckett-trained gelding is a son of Coolmore Stud's Power (by Oasis Dream), he was bred by Ballykilbride Stud, he is out of Jacaranda Ridge (by Indian Ridge) and his dam is a winning half-sister to the Italian Group 1 scorer Rainbow Peak (by Hernando). His grandam, Celtic Fling (by Lion Cavern), is a half-sister to the Group 1 and classic star Celtic Swing (by Damister).

  • Coolmore Stud's Group 2-winning sprinter Requinto (by Dansili) supplied the winners of both divisions of the six-furlong novice auction race at Windsor.

    The Richard Hannon-trained filly Groupie made a winning debut in the first division. The £32,000 Doncaster graduate was bred by John Troy, she is the first foal out of the juvenile sprint winner Amour Fou (by Piccolo), and her grandam is Elm Dust (by Elmaamul), a winning half-sister to the pattern scorers Bulaxie (by Bustino) and Dust Dancer (by Suave Dancer).

    Half an hour later the Charlie Fellowes-trained filly High On Love made it second time lucky with victory in the second division. She was bred by Ethel Moloney, she is a €42,000 Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale graduate, and her dam, Cant Hurry Love (by Desert Prince), is a granddaughter of Yawl (by Rainbow Quest), the pattern-winning daughter of Group 1 Oaks heroine Bireme (by Grundy).

    Requinto also struck in France when La Dame En Rouge won over five and a half furlongs at Cagnes-sur-Mer. The filly, who was running for the fourth time, was bred by the partnership of Ecurie Haras du Cadran and Ms Aydi. She is out of nine-furlong Ballinrobe winner Philosophers Guest (by Desert Prince) and her grandam is the stakes-placed triple 12-furlong scorer Gemini Diamond (by Desert King).

  • Pretty Vacant, who was runner-up over the minimum trip at Haydock on his debut 10 days ago, followed that with an odds-on success over the same distance at Leicester. The Roger Varian-trained colt was bred by D R Botterill, he is out of Jillolini (by Bertolini) and he is a son of Ballyhane Stud stallion Elzaam (by Redoute's Choice). He is inbred 4x3 to Danzig (by Northern Dancer), his dam is a half-sister to the four-times scorer Ghostwing (by Kheleyf) and she comes from the family of the Group 1-placed Group 2 Prix du Gros Chene scorer Nabeel Dancer (by Northern Dancer).
