  • Coolmore Stud's classic winner and juvenile Group 1 star Power (by Oasis Dream) got his first stakes winner when Peace Envoy won the Listed Coolmore War Command Rochestown (C&G) Stakes over six furlongs at Naas. The Aidan O'Brien-trained juvenile was bred by Team Hogdala A.B., this was his second win from three starts, he is out of 10-furlong scorer Hoh My Darling (by Dansili) and he is in bred 4x4 to Danzig (by Northern Dancer). He comes from a branch of the family of the great racehorse and broodmare Dahlia (by Vaguely Noble).

  • Whitsbury Manor Stud's Group 1-winning shuttle stallion Foxwedge (by Fastnet Rock) got his latest winner when Scofflaw made a successful debut over six furlongs at Chester. The Richard Fahey-trained colt was bred by Mrs M E Slade, he is out of Belle Des Airs (by Dr Fong), and his dam is a winning half-sister to the 10-times scorer Layline (by King's Best). His grandam, Belle Reine (by King Of Kings), is a half-sister to the six-furlong listed scorer Oasis Dancer (by Oasis Dream) and to the mile listed race winner Smart Enough (by Cadeaux Genereux).

  • Mayson (by Invincible Spirit) is the first freshman sire of 2016 to get a stakes winner. His son Global Applause won the Listed BetVictor Million Pound Goal National Stakes over five furlongs at Sandown. The Ed Dunlop-trained colt was bred by Robin and Scarlett Knipe, he is a 78,000gns graduate of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, and he is out of Crown (by Royal Applause), a half-sister to Group 2-placed Cochabamba (by Hurricane Run). Group 1-winning sprinter Mayson stands at Cheveley Park Stud.

  • Darley's Group 1 winner Casamento (by Shamardal), who is standing at Dalham Hall Stud, is the latest freshman sire to get his first winner. His son Barrington scored by six lengths in a five-furlong novice race at Windsor, 10 days after finishing fourth on his debut behind Cunco at Newbury. The colt was bred by Con Marnane, he is the first foal out of an unraced mare called Mia Divina (by Exceed And Excel) and his dam is a half-sister to the pattern-placed stakes winner Mia Diletta (by Selkirk).
