WHILE Finian’s Oscar has highlighted the quality of four-year-olds being campaigned between the flags at present, evidence of the depth of quality can also be found in the number of subsequent track winners which have already emerged from within the class of the 2016 spring season.

In total, there were 68 four-year-old maiden winners in the five month period between February and June and, focussing solely on those maiden winners, 53 have already re-appeared for their new connections, highlighting how these young horses are ready to train on following their early point-to-point experience.
