THE Royal Dublin Society has taken a further step this year to promote the Connemara pony with the introduction of an international Connemara performance competition which will be judged by Corinne Bracken and Jim Wofford at 1.30pm on Sunday.

Teams from France and Great Britain are listed in the catalogue (the French taking the opportunity to display their quartet of greys in Wednesday’s stallion parade as well) while the Irish squad will be selected from the top four ponies and riders who meet the age criteria in the older Connemara performance hunter class earlier in the week.
