Donnacha O'Brien has described 2000 Guineas favourite Churchill as an "absolute monster" ahead of his much anticipated three-year-old campaign.

The Galileo colt won five of his six starts as a juvenile including Group 1 successes in the National Stakes at the Curragh and the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.

He is a best priced 6/4 favourite for the first British classic of the season on May 6th and connections could not be happier with how he has wintered.

Donnacha O'Brien, son of trainer Aidan, also provided a positive update on 1000 Guineas favourite Rhododendron, winner of the Fillies' Mile last October.

He told the Dubai Racing Channel: "Churchill looks fantastic. He's after getting very strong and he's an absolute monster.

"Rhododendron looks well and their work has all been good.

"Everything seems to be going smooth so far."
