MAKING good use of all forms of communication, traditional and new, and being awake to all opportunities were among the key messages to come out of Thursday’s very interesting Horse Sport Ireland International Marketing Symposium in Athlone on Thursday.

There were 350 people present at the one-day event which featured a top line-up of national and international speakers, drawn from the top echeleons of the breeding, show jumping, eventing, racing and equestrian-business world, and the fact is HSI’s international marketing director Elaine Hatton and her hard-working team could have sold the event out twice over such was the interest in it.
