Sixty-three horses have been entered for the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday, September 10th.

Kevin Prendergast's Irish Guineas winner Awtaad, Aidan O'Brien's French Guineas hero The Gurkha and English Guineas victor Minding represent the Classic generation

Among the high-class list of possible runners are several other Classic winners such as Covert Love, The Grey Gatsby, New Bay and even Dee Majesty, winner of the Japanese 2,000 Guineas for trainer Yoshitaka Ninomiya at Nakayama last month.

The first three home from the Tattersalls Gold Cup, Fascinating Rock, Found and Success Days, along with Postponed, US Army Ranger and ante-post Investec Derby favourite Wings Of Desire are also on the list.

IRISH ST LEGER

Ralph Beckett's St Leger heroine Simple Verse is among an entry of 52 for the Palmerstown House Estate Irish St Leger at the Curragh on Sunday, September 11th.

Also a winner on Champions Day at Ascot, she is due to run in the Coronation Cup next week at Epsom.

The Queen's Dartmouth is in the mix along with Ascot Gold Cup winner Trip To Paris for Ed Dunlop.

Order Of St George was an 11-length winner last year for Aidan O'Brien and he is entered again along with stablemates Bondi Beach, Highland Reel, US Army Ranger and Port Douglas.

Even Willie Mullins is well represented, with Max Dynamite and Wicklow Brave among his handful of entries.

Alain de Royer-Dupre's Prix Royal-Oak winner Vazirabad and Candarliya, successful in the Prix de Royallieu, along with German entries Alex My Boy and Wasir add an international flavour.
