FOURTEEN-year-old Harry Allen from Wexford appeared to be following in his big brother Bertram's footsteps when he clocked up two consecutive wins in the Children on Horses competitions at Lichtenvoorde in the Netherlands during the last 24 hours.

Bertram (20) is currently ranked seventh in the world show jumping rankings after a spectacular few years on the senior circuit, but now Harry seems set to establish the family name with similar performances.

On Friday evening he piloted his big brother's former ride, Ballywalter Farms's mare Wild Thing L, to victory in the jump-off class at Lichtenvoorde, and on Saturday the younger Allen brought out the same horse to claim victory in the Two-Phase competition.

Meanwhile, Bertram Allen is this weekend competing for Ireland at the senior four-star show at Stockholm in Sweden.
