ARBOR Des Champs made it third-time lucky over jumps with an emphatic success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick.

The Emmet Mullins-trained mare was a bumper winner at Tramore last summer and had filled the runner-up spot on her first two hurdling starts. She was the 13/8 favourite for her latest attempt in the hands of the trainer's cousin, David Mullins, and readily pulled 19 lengths clear of Field Robin.
