WEXFORD's Bertram Allen claimed Sunday's Longines World Ranking Class ‘The Masters Tour Grand Prix’ in Germany’s Eschweiler.

He jumped a speedy clear in the 1.50m jump-off, with a time of 35.66, to beat Tipperary’s Denis Lynch, who jumped clear in a time of 36.09 for second place.

Allen, riding the nine-year-old Gk Casper owned by Ballywalter Farms, claimed over €22,000 in prize money for his win, while Lynch, riding Royne Zetterman AB’s Echo de Laubry, earned over €13,000.

Third place went to New Zealander Bruce Goodin and fourth went to Irishman David Simpson, who jumped clear with a time of 39.75.

A total of 46 combinations took place in the Grand Prix.
